Financial Advisers

We understand that no one will know your client’s as well as you do, as you’ve probably known them for a long time and been through many life stages with them. So when life then deals them an unexpected hand and they come to you for advice on care, you want to make sure they’ll be well looked after. Rest assured that with Carepal, your client’s care needs are in good hands.

We’ve built our specialist care practice over the last 15 years, after realizing a need for specialist advice, when our founder's Nan was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. (Read Gladys' Story here). Since then we’ve helped thousands of clients and their advisers navigate the care system, with compassion, professionalism and empathy.

We look at all aspects of your client’s care from the legal to the practical, as well as the financial to make sure that it meets the client’s aims and objectives and helps them retain the quality of life they have come to expect. Keeping you and your client’s needs at the heart of the process means that you can maintain that important relationship between you both and leave their care advice to experts who understand.

How we work

We fully understand from having had first hand experience of how confusing the care system can be, so we replace the confusing, technical jargon and processes and replace them with simple explanations and easy to understand step by step advice.

Offering help at all stages for as little or as much as the client needs and wants. In addition, we offer a transparent case management system called Carepal Connect that helps us to offer visibility and real time updates on what we’re doing and what the ongoing costs are.

Don’t delay, give us a call today to help ensure your client’s are given the care advice they need, as soon as they need it.

More than just financial advice

You’ll have no doubt realised by now that there is much more to care advice than simply whether to buy an immediate needs annuity or not. You also need to take into account the following aspects, such as:

  • Taking into account Social Care funding options from the Local Authority
  • Reviewing State and Local Benefits entitlements and impact of income, capital and assets;
  • NHS Continuing Healthcare eligibility criteria
  • Whether care is to be on a Residential or Nursing basis
  • Whether client needs EMI (Elderly Mentally Infirm) or EMD (Elderly Mental Dementia) care
  • Does an IMCA (Independent Mental Capacity Advocate) need to be involved?
  • Does an IMHA (Independent Mental Health Advocate) need to be involved?
  • How changes to capital (i.e. encashments) impact care entitlement/financial assessments

It is essential that client’s and their financial advisers are given the right advice as early as possible, as the longer and more complex the case becomes, both legal and financial options become limited.
